This week in the NFC North, the dominant storyline for the Minnesota Vikings has been the team’s ongoing struggle to get a new stadium built.

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune covered this issue on Tuesday, breaking down the entire debacle. The Star-Tribune‘s Rochelle Olsen confirmed the team would not be leaving town this year, but if they were to do so, the St. Cloud Times‘ Dave DeLand thinks Green Bay would be an ideal location.

The return of wide receiver Randy Moss spurred a lot of conversation on Bleacher Report. Chicago Bears columnist Bob Warja looks at the chances he joins the Bears while Eric Vincent says that the Detroit Lions have no use for Moss.

It’s been a fairly quiet offseason thus far for the Green Bay Packers, the only real news this week being about the changes in the coaching staff.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette‘s Mike Vandermause took a look at new offensive coordinator Tom Clements, the team’s former quarterbacks coach, and later in the week, the Press-Gazette‘s Kareem Copeland spoke with head coach Mike McCarthy, who is more than pleased with the shape of his team’s coaching staff.

The Detroit Lions are most concerned with their free agency situation. The team may use the franchise tag on defensive end Cliff Avril, while Lions president Tom Lewand said to season ticket holders on Tuesday the team needs to take a patient approach to free agency.

The Chicago Bears’ main offseason concern is retaining running back Matt Forte. ESPN Chicago’s Michael C. Wright says he could receive the franchise tag as early as Monday.

Speaking on Wednesday, Bears chairman George McCaskey said the team might be a bit quiet in free agency this year, but that’s not for financial reasons.
