Ever since Brandon Marshall went on a rage and demanded a trade, there has been some hype about the Chicago Bears trying to land him.

Marshall demanded a trade from the Broncos, stating he was not happy with his contract and wants out.

The first team that came to everyone’s mind was the Bears.

Thanks to Jay Cutler being the new Bears quarterback, people were thinking of a Cutler-Marshall reunion.

Most Bears fans are saying yes to bringing in Marshall because of what him and Cutler did last year for the Broncos.

Marshall is a Pro-Bowl receiver, and he has proven that. If he comes to Chicago, he will instantly be the No. 1 wide receiver on the depth chart.

Add that in with the chemistry he has already developed with Cutler, and the Bears could be a contender in the NFC.

Getting a solid No. 1 receiver would help the Bears a lot. Not only would they have a go-to guy, but Marshall would also make Devin Hester better.

As Marshall would draw double coverage, it would leave an opportunity for Hester to shine in single coverage and receive more passes from Cutler.

The negative for bringing in Marshall would be his off the field activity and what the Bears would need to give up for him.

The guy has been a cancer off the field for the Broncos, and the Bears seem like the team that won’t tolerate that.

The asking price for Marshall might be a little too much. With the Bears giving up next year’s first-round pick to Denver, that takes away trade bait.

For the Bears to land Marshall, it will almost have to be either a 2010 second-round pick and a 2011 second-round pick, or maybe just Devin Hester.

The bottom line is that Marshall would instantly make the Bears better. They would have a solid threat at the receiver position, and a quarterback to give him the ball.

But do they want to give up picks or a player for that?
