The Chicago Bears have clinched the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs, with a first round bye. Most teams would rest some of their starters and take the loss without even caring. The Bears, however, will be going to Green Bay to face their hated rivals. They won’t be going that route.

“For us, we’re playing to win the football game,” said Head Coach Lovie Smith. “We want to continue to grow, continue to improve the way we’ve been doing here lately. Besides that, we have a chance to sweep the division. That’s important for us. We want to go into the playoffs on a high as much as anything.”

This means that the Bears will have one of the best defenses against the run fully intact in a game that will require a good running game. Both teams are used to playing in the harsh winter elements. Pass and snow usually don’t mix well, which means the game will be decided between running backs Matt Forte and Brandon Jackson. Jackson will have it tougher against the Bears’ defense than Forte against the Packers’.

The Bears want to beat the Packers. The Packers need to beat the Bears. This will be a very good game, but I got Da Bears winning this game.
