Jay Cutler‘s relationship with Kristin Cavallari has had as many highs and lows as his tumultuous NFL career. The Chicago Bears quarterback is set to ride one of those peaks only the lucky get to enjoy. He is going to be a proud pop.
US Weekly reports Cavallari, a reality-TV star, is now pregnant with her fiancee’s child. Cutler is going to be a dad, and we never in a million years would have seen this coming.
It was only last July when the two, who were well on their way to matrimony, suddenly called off their marriage. Many picked out Cutler as the one who just couldn’t go through with the marriage.
Less than a year ago, it seemed that a day like today, with news of a baby on the way, was an impossibility.
The two would later rekindle things in November and are now back on track for marriage. This time better stick as they have someone other than themselves to take care of from here on out.
The volatile year wasn’t lost on Cavallari, who tells the magazine the following.
The past year has been interesting. There have been a lot of ups and downs, but overall it’s been great.
We’re just enjoying being engaged. We were definitely planning the first time, but I can’t plan the same wedding. I need to do something entirely different.
It makes sense. That first time around now has marriage cooties all over it. Consider it a jinx to any and all wedded bliss, and Cavallari is wise to distance herself from it.
As a source tells US, the couple are far more engaged in ending up together than they were in the past.
She is really happy. She is in the early stages, but she can’t wait to be a mom. They have just bought a house in Tennessee and can’t wait to start their family.
Who knows what these two were thinking the first time around? It’s past the time to get cold feet for Cutler, though.
He had his one “get out of jail free card” the first time around. From here on out, he has to commit himself to Cavallari and their family, and there is no more room for second thoughts like he had in July.
Here is to hoping that he just needed space to know what he really wanted, because there is much more at stake than himself this time around.
We are happy for the two, but have just one thing on our mind. This time better last.
