Chicago Bears DT Anthony Adams Wins at Retiring with a Hilarious Video

Even the most diehard Chicago Bears fan would be hard-pressed to say a ton about defensive tackle Anthony Adams, and probably half of you had no idea that he retired the other day (via USA Today).

Well, he did—and he retired like a boss.

Adams apparently has a pretty good sense of humor about not just football, but his place in it. Let’s face it: Adams isn’t a marquee face with Hall of Fame credentials.

He was a grinder, the type of guy who makes up a large portion of the NFL, and who mostly goes unnoticed by the average fan (and a few hardcore ones).

Drafted in 2003 by the San Francisco 49ers, Adams was never more than a role player and substitute, even after moving to Chicago.

That said, the NFL needs those guys to function, so I don’t mean to make it sound like his plays didn’t matter.

All that pales in comparison to the above video, which shows a wicked sense of self-skewering humor.

Seriously, somebody get this guy an actual television gig—I’ll take more of this from Adams all day if we can avoid the next Frank Caliendo clone.

Enjoy, and then head to White Castle.
