Mike Brown.

One of the greatest safeties in Chicago Bear history.

Can we see the resurrection of his past miracles embodied in a younger, more athletic soul?

“With the 75th pick, in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select…Major Wright, free safety, Florida.”

Those are the words that could possibly be the key to great safety success for years to come for our Chicago Bears.

Comparing two players is something I don’t do.

Sometimes it annoys me and they seem to be out of line. Therefore, if you feel this is a wrong comparison, please feel free to leave me your honest feedback.

Regardless, in my eyes, we CAN live to see another Mike Brown wearing a Chicago Bears jersey every Sunday.

This is why.

Mike Brown :  5’10”, 207 lbs.
Major Wright :  5’11”, 204 lbs.

Any physical similarities yet?

Mike Brown

A big-hitter with determination, a very strong passion for the love of the game and smashing heads, regardless of pay, for the Chicago Bears.

Major Wright

A safety that makes wide receivers scared to catch balls over the middle of the gridiron.

From the conference call I listened to, seems amazingly humbled to play for the Chicago Bears.

So far, the mental ability sounds like I’m repeating myself.

Mike Brown

Plays with aggression and straight up raw intensity.

A playmaker, and so-called “quarterback” of the defense.

Got along with teammates and displayed determination to win while giving 100 percent  EVERY. SINGLE. GAME.

Major Wright

Always makes big hits when needed and went headhunting.

Forces many fumbles and picks.

Playmaker.

Has stated his will to win and how bad he wants this opportunity to kick some ass.

Seeing any spec of resemblance?

Now, Brown’s intensity may be unmatched to many, but if this kid is how he appears to be, I see that being similar as well.

Usually, when you hear a prospect, they sound calm and collective. That’s cool and all, but I wanna hear excitement and the will to give it your all, 100 percent, balls out, everyday all day.

Even if you aren’t the best in Chicago, every single fan will love you, if you just give it your all.

This is what persuades me. Listen to his conference call, and you’ll hear these words.

When asked whether he believes he will start or not, Wright responded, “I’m looking to come in and basically work my butt off for the coaches, and wherever they need me at, I’m happy to play.”

You may think this sounds corny, or not out of the ordinary, but listen to his conference call again. I’m telling you, the kid is stoked over this opportunity.

I may be wrong, but from the looks of it, Mike Brown is back in Chicago.
