Brandon Marshall Traded from the Miami Dolphins to the Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears made a major move today sending two third-round round draft picks to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall.
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports tweeted:
Major scoopage! The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms of a trade w Miami for pro bowl WR Brandon Marshall in exchange for 2 third-rounders.
This move is huge for the Bears as they look to make a move towards another Super Bowl title. This becomes a stronger possibility now that they’ve added a first-class receiver for Jay Cutler to target.
Marshall had 1,214 yards receiving and six touchdowns last season with the Dolphins, and has nabbed at at least 1,000 receiving years per season since his second year in the NFL back in 2007.
Marshall is a big upgrade from Johnny Knox, the Bears’ leading receiver last season, who pulled in 727 yards and two touchdowns.
Adding a downfield weapon such as Marshall will also help open up the running game for Matt Forte.
Losing two third-round picks for a potential game-changer is a great deal for the Bears and would seem to make the Dolphins a far less desirable destination for free-agent quarterback, Peyton Manning as well.
The Dolphins do have the No. 8 pick in this year’s NFL Draft and could sign a top incoming receiver if Manning decides to play in Miami next year. This is something Cutler and the Bears won’t need to worry about now that Marshall is on board.
