Brandon Meriweather Delivers Knockout Blow (Off the Field) to Brandon Marshall

Brandon Meriweather has…a reputation.

The Washington Redskins safety likes to hit people in the head. It’s common knowledge that Meriweather pushes the NFL‘s new “defenseless player” protocols to their limits. So it was something of a surprise when the two-time Pro Bowler needed all of seven weeks to rack up his first fine of the season.

Meriweather initially was fined and suspended for two games after a helmet-to-helmet hit on Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall in their Week 7 game. That suspension was eventually halved to one game, but Marshall refused to mince words regarding his thoughts on Meriweather, suggesting that the safety be “taken out of the game completely.”

Meriweather’s reaction was nothing short of priceless.

As always, thanks for watching.
